Water Parks

Beating the Heat by riding the Waves

Water Parks mix the best of both worlds, thrill rides and getting wet. What a concept, a theme park where the rides are mostly on, or in  water. A lot of water parks are attached or next door to major theme parks. Water parks allow for a break from the heat, and add a little relaxation time to a busy day at the theme park.

Water parks started out as a couple of water slides, and maybe a wave pool or two. Water parks now have almost as many different thrill rides as any major theme park. The water slides have become longer, faster, and have have more twists and turns than ever before. The wave pools have kept up as well, getting more complex. Some wave pools allow for body surfing, while others allow for surfing. All of this is done with out going all the way out to the ocean to catch that killer wave.

Another unique feature of water parks, is that most of them have picnic areas. What is so special about a picnic area? You can bring in outside food of your choosing, which helps keep the cost down. Let's be honest, eating at any theme park can be a very costly experience.
